VH1 cancels Best Week Ever (again)
Casting us back into a world where the past seven days are no longer given proper, qualitative analysis by our nation’s most available stand-up comedians, VH1 has canceled Best Week Ever for a second time. The pop culture commentary series originally ran from 2004 to 2009, where it was a semi-steady paycheck for talent like Patton Oswalt, Paul Scheer, Nick Kroll, Judah Friedlander, and Rachael Harris, and a lynchpin of the network’s “comic says something ironic that’s then rendered obnoxious by too many computer graphics and an over-excitable narrator” programming slate. It was then briefly retooled into a show where you felt bad for Paul F. Tompkins.
