In the wake of last year’s murder/suicide by a Megan Wants A Millionaire contestant, an abashed VH1 declared its intention to dedicate itself to “real life stories” as opposed to “manufactured reality shows” populated exclusively by silicon-enhanced, fame-seeking fake women fake fighting with each other for a chance at fake love. Fortunately for their ratings, there are still plenty of real life stories to be found in totally manufactured situations that also feature lots of boobs—like the forthcoming reality series Canz, a behind-the-scenes look at a Long Island sports bar staffed exclusively by busty ladies in black tank tops, which is how you tell it apart from Hooters. According to TMZ, the show will examine “what it takes to be a Canz girl,” besides the obvious. For example, most people are probably unaware that Canz employees harbor real life dreams and contend with real life family obligations, which are the exact sort of real life stories VH1 is interested in now, sometimes.
