Viacom to feed content to Joost
Viacom, the huge conglomerate that owns MTV, Paramount, Comedy Central, and much more, will offer its content through new online video service Joost (which was created by the inventors of Skype), Reuters reports. Viacom is among the media companies that didn't reach a content agreement with YouTube, and according to this story, that content adds up to "hundreds of hours" of video. As anyone who's poked around YouTube lately might have noticed, a lot of unauthorized Viacom content has been taken down at Viacom's demand.
