Leonardo DiCaprio will team up with Mel Gibson to make a movie about vikings, according to Variety. The film, scripted by William Monahan (The Departed, Body Of Lies) currently has no title. But it does have a director: Gibson, who's stepping behind the camera for the first time since Apocalypto. (An underrated movie that arrived at an, um, unfortunate time in Gibson's public life.)
So, here's a question: Will viking fever soon sweep the world? Will our desire to be raping, pillaging, seafaring people of old—so evident in the pirate craze earlier this decade—find a new home?
