While waiting for Bruce Wayne to pass puberty, Fox’s Gotham series has been chock full of bad guys —the previous season was even dedicated to their “rise”. That “more is more” sentiment has made its way to the new Batman ’66-based animated film, which sees part of Batman’s rogues gallery spill out onto the streets of Gotham. Briefly masquerading as a Fab Four-like group onstage, Catwoman, The Joker, The Riddler, and The Penguin join forces to provoke or otherwise thwart the return of the caped crusaders. Julie Newmar is mewling once again as Catwoman, but the only voices heard here belong to Adam West and Burt Ward, who can reprise their Dynamic Duo roles without trying to get back into their tights.
Batman: Return Of The Caped Crusaders will be released on Digital HD on October 11 and Blu-ray on November 1.
