Vin Diesel confirms that the Guardians Of The Galaxy will join Avengers: Infinity War
As the Marvel Cinematic Universe has gotten bigger and crazier, the idea of all the separate parts eventually coming together to form some kind of ultimate superhero jambalaya is looking more and more difficult. It’s no longer a given that every movie will tie into every other movie in some way, especially since it seems like the Netflix shows will never connect to the Avengers series in any meaningful way. Now, though, we can at least confirm that the gang from Guardians Of The Galaxy will be appearing in Avengers: Infinity War.
That news came from Vin Diesel himself, who revealed it during a Facebook chat with his fans. He says it’s “incredibly exciting” and added that the Facebook audience was “told before everybody,” which means this could’ve been the sort of thing Marvel wasn’t ready to announce just yet. The 27-minute video also features Diesel thanking his fans for their support and showing off a literal trophy that Facebook sent him for getting more than 100 million followers, and he touches on how he got involved in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the first place.
Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 will be in theaters on May 5, 2017. Avengers: Infinity War will come about a year later on May 4, 2018.
