According to Deadline, Vince Vaughn has joined the cast of Fighting With My Family, a wrestling-based dramedy film produced by and starring Dwayne Johnson. The movie is based on the life of WWE star Paige, and will feature Lena Headey and Nick Frost in addition to Vaughn and Johnson. Plus, the film is being written and directed by Stephen Merchant from The Office, so there are a lot of interesting and mildly incongruous pieces at work here.
The Deadline story doesn’t offer a ton of specifics about Vaughn’s character, but a post from Johnson’s Instagram actually fills in a lot of details:
Johnson also notes in his post that production is starting tomorrow, so this all seems to be moving pretty fast.
