Want to see Samuel L. Jackson as a president on the run? Win Big Game on DVD
As if Samuel L. Jackson playing the president isn’t enough of a draw for Big Game, writer-director Jalamri Helander ratchets up the fun by crash-landing him in the middle of the Finnish wilderness, where he reluctantly teams up with a teen in order to survive being hunted by crazy locals. Making the POTUS the primary target in a “most dangerous game” is an intriguingly loopy premise, not entirely surprising once you realize the movie comes from the same guy who made Rare Exports, 2010’s wonderfully twisted killer-Santa flick. Big Game hits shelves on August 25, so, to coincide with the release, The A.V. Club and Anchor Bay Entertainment are giving away three copies of the film on DVD. For your chance to win, simply send an email to [email protected] with the subject line “Big Game.” Be sure to include your full name and mailing address in the body of the email. U.S. entrants only. We’ll select our three winners at random from eligible entries and notify them via email on Thursday, August 27. Estimated retail value of Big Game on DVD is $22.98. You can find the official plot synopsis and trailer for the film below.
“In the rugged countryside of Finland, a young thirteen-year-old (Onni Tommila) embarks on a traditional quest to prove himself by spending twenty-four hours alone in the wild, armed with only a bow and arrow. After witnessing a spectacular crash, he discovers the escape pod from Air Force One, containing the President of the United States (Samuel L. Jackson). When they realize a group of kidnappers is hot on their trail with the intention of taking the president, this unlikely duo must escape their hunters as they search for the American Special Forces team sent out to find them.”
