Warm Bodies’ Teresa Palmer to star in James Wan’s Lights Out

As reported by Deadline, Warm Bodies star Teresa Palmer (she played the human) has been cast in Lights Out, an adaptation of director David Sandberg’s short film of the same name. Sandberg himself is directing—it’ll be his feature debut—and James Wan will be taking a break from directing every other movie to produce this one with his Atomic Monster label. As Deadline puts it, Lights Out is about “a young boy and his estranged sister who are confronted by an evil entity that only appears when the lights are out.” That sounds like an easy entity to avoid to us, but we imagine it’s more complicated than it sounds.

Besides Warm Bodies, Palmer also appeared in I Am Number Four and will be in Terrence Malick’s upcoming Knight Of Cups as well as the Point Break remake. If you don’t mind spoiling what will almost certainly be one or two of the full-length version’s scares, you can see the full Lights Out short below. Just don’t complain to us if you have nightmares.
