Warner Bros. creating live-action/CGI Bugs Bunny film

Making good on its intent to drag the Looney Tunes characters into the digital age, Warner Bros. is developing a new feature film around Bugs Bunny, which will finally translate the iconic ink-and-paint character into the live action/CGI hybrid language that modern audiences can understand. Its first step: Consulting with established animators who can properly capture the spirit of those early cartoons, and ensure that the new Bugs Bunny bears little resemblance to the soulless pablum of recent reboots like Alvin And The Chipmunks and Yogi Bear. Just kidding: It’s hired screenwriter David Berenbaum, whose experience with cartoons is thus far limited to crafting words for Will Ferrell in Elf. He also adapted The Spiderwick Chronicles and just finished writing an animated project with George Lucas. Ehhhh, what the fuck, doc?
