Warner Bros. developing Acme Instant Film Franchise (With Eyeball-Poking Live Action/CGI)

Warner Bros.’ mission to turn all of its groundbreaking ink-and-paint animation into the beastly coupling of live-action and CGI continues apace with the announcement of Acme, which will examine the eerily omnipresent corporation that supplies everything the Looney Tunes characters use to commit their attempted murders. However, the film won’t feature any of those beloved characters: The idea is to launch its own self-contained Acme franchise and focus instead on the company that develops those extremely dangerous devices with “a tone that recalls the Amblin pics of the 1980s or a Men In Black-style movie.” Perhaps the film will finally reveal how a company with such a proven failure rate manages to stay in business?
