ABC made a little bit of Bachelorette history in two ways on Monday. First, it revealed the identity of the next Bachelorette, Rachel, a lawyer who also marks the first time the show has cast a black Bachelorette. Secondly, however, there’s a strange detail to the announcement: Rachel is still very much in competition on the current season of The Bachelor, meaning ABC spoiled its own series.
