A contestant on Wheel Of Fortune may have made history this week—by offering one of the most nonsensical solutions ever seen on the show. Following New York Times critic Pete Wells’ lead, the best way to evaluate this woman’s distressingly illogical guess is probably through a series of questions. Does she think Wheel Of Fortune puzzles are just random collections of unrelated words? Is she unaware of the basic conventions of grammar? Why does her partner so jubilantly exclaim, “We’d like to solve it,” in spite of the fact that the words that subsequently come out of her mouth are so bizarrely out of sync with the available information that to speak them would doom her to the realm of Internet mockery?
