Watch a gorgeous live performance of Phoenix's "Entertainment" filmed in a single take at Versailles
Four years ago, after the release of Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix, French pop-rock magicians Phoenix played a handful of songs live at the Trocadero in Paris for La Blogotheque. It was a fine live performance with a lot of guerilla-style filming. But their latest live set for La Blogotheque—rolling out over the next several days—is far more visually ambitious. The first video for Bankrupt!’s lead single “Entertainment” was shot at the Chateau de Versailles using a camera attached to a remote controlled drone. Filmed in a single breathtaking shot, the video provides gorgeous views of Versailles and the surrounding gardens, with some deft maneuvering from the drone pilots. The arrangement is stripped down and summery, but the dynamic visuals make this an even better video than the heavily K-Pop influenced official clip. Another video for "Bourgeois" will roll out in the next few days, followed by a 20-minute behind-the-scenes video following the band around Paris.
