Watch an exclusive clip from the new Big Star documentary

While ‘70s rock act Big Star was massively influential and critically acclaimed, it never really garnered the financial windfall it so rightfully deserved. While a recent tour in tribute to the band could help the remaining members of the group pay some bills, the new documentary Big Star: Nothing Can Hurt Me has the potential to make an even bigger dent. Out later this year through Magnolia Pictures, Nothing Can Hurt Me tracks the history of the cult group from inception to frontman Alex Chilton’s death in 2010.

While the movie’s only starting to open in various theaters around the country this week and popping up on VOD today, The A.V. Club has an exclusive first look at a clip from the film below. Watch it and then go buy the band’s entire catalog.
