Pickwick has been blowing up the Seattle scene in recent months. The band's debut LP, Can't Talk Medicine, garnered pretty great reviews. One critic even said vocalist Galen Disston was the best singer in the Seattle music scene. The A.V. Club has the exclusive video premiere of "Hacienda Motel," a single that showcases Disston's soulful range. The video is simple and straightforward, unlike the Seattle sextet's ardent sound. It's easy to liken Pickwick to The Black Keys, but the band still has its own unique vibe.
Pickwick will also be touring this fall. Other acts include Neko Case, Okkervil River, Black Joe Lewis, and The Moondoggies. A full list of dates is below the video.
