Musical chameleon Joe Jackson is back with a new record, and it’s a doozy. The Duke, only his second record of non-original material in a more than 30-year career, is a tribute to jazz legend Duke Ellington. The record, which is made up of unusual arrangements and instrumentations, features guest appearances from Iggy Pop, Steve Vai, and Ahmir “?uestlove? Thompson, among others. Sharon Jones, sans Dap-Kings, does vocals on “I Ain’t Got Nothin’ But The Blues,” the making-of video of which is below and is exclusive to The A.V. Club. The Duke is in stores June 26.
