Watch Bob Mould tear up "Hoover Dam" live, prepare for Sugar reissues

It might go without saying at this point that The A.V. Club is big on Bob Mould. We’ve had him in to do Undercover, talked to him several times, and featured him doing a version of “Hoover Dam” last year for the One Track Mind series. All the same, we’re gladly hosting this exclusive live video of Mould performing yet another version of “Hoover Dam” in preparation for the upcoming Sugar reissues. The clip was filmed in San Francisco during Noise Pop and features Mould’s current band, including Superchunk’s Jon Wurster and Verbow's Jason Narducy.

The entire Sugar catalog is being reissued on Merge Records July 24, and fans can pre-order deluxe editions of Copper Blue, Beaster, and File Under Easy Listening. Mould is also releasing a new solo album, Silver Age, Sept. 4 on Merge. According to press materials, it’s full of “the punishingly loud melodically sparkling pop-rock” Sugar fans like.
