Watch Disney characters sway in step together with recycled animation
When Disney animators made the 1937 Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs, it was the first feature film to be made with hand-drawn cels and turned into such an expensive endeavor Walt Disney had to mortgage his house. After Snow White, cels were recycled with new characters drawn over old characters’ movements, saving the studio time and money. YouTube channel Movie Munchies compiled some examples where this technique is obvious, as princesses, non-princesses, and animals do the same dances throughout several Disney films.
There is a lot of dancing in Disney films. And are the cels of Snow White the fairest of them all, or what?
