Game Of Thrones’ Red Wedding may have surprised a lot of non-literate HBO watchers this past weekend, but George R.R. Martin seems to be digging the controversy. The series’ author was on Conan last night to talk about the show and its upcoming finale and, thanks to O’Brien, got to watch a clip of GOT fans freaking out over last Sunday’s shocking conclusion. While he seemed a little less than entertained by the screaming and crying viewers, he did note that this is a good chance for those who have read the long-circulating books to tell their friends, “now you see why I was so upset 13 years ago.”
