Watch Giancarlo Esposito play a totally not evil camp counselor on Sesame Street
Giancarlo Esposito's performances as tightly controlled villains on Breaking Bad and Revolution have made it difficult to see him as anything other than menacing. But in 1982, Esposito did a stint on Sesame Street playing Big Bird's camp counselor Mickey, who tells Big Bird in a very un-Fring-like fashion that it's okay to cry because he misses home. Mickey also plays baseball, wears very red, very short shorts, and mediates a fight between Big Bird and a sad Muppet named Rusty, all without having to slit anyone's throat. Mickey may not be very similar to Esposito's other roles, but the secrecy around the recipe for Los Pollos Hermanos' chicken makes horrifying sense now. [Via Mental Floss]
