After headlining San Francisco’s Outside Lands Festival over the weekend, Jack White decided to stage an impromptu performance in a decidedly more isolated setting. Backed by his reliable all-girl group, White took to the California woods to perform a pared down, more intimate set. Songs included “Love Interruption,” off the recent Blunderbuss, and “Hotel Yorba,” an old White Stripes favorite. Thanks to the ubiquity of recording devices, the performance hasn’t remained quite so off the beaten path after all.
