Watch Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon improvise a Rick And Morty episode with action figures

Attention Rick And Morty superfans: Please, if you can, stop verbally abusing your local McDonald’s employees for a second so you can hear about this amazing opportunity. Working in conjunction with the fundraising platform Omaze, Rick And Morty creators Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon are giving one lucky fan the chance to join them in recording commentary for their upcoming season three DVD. And, in order to give everyone an idea of what they’ll be signing up for, Roiland improvised a short episode of Rick And Morty with the help of some action figures while Harmon supplied some much-needed commentary.

“This is my favorite episode and Justin’s second favorite episode,” Harmon interjects as Roiland riffs a meandering scene between Rick, Morty, and beloved side-character Mr. Poopybutthole. Harmon then provides some behind-the-scenes, DVD-commentary-style trivia when he decides that Mr. Poopybutthole is actually an adult Mr. Meeseeks, quickly affirming that “that’s canon.” The remainder of the “episode” devolves into chaos as Roiland, at the behest of his writing partner, is forced to improvise a musical number and love scene between the lead characters. “Anyway, it’ll be something like that,” Roiland concludes as they bail on the improv and get back to the sales pitch.

Enter the contest on Rick And Morty’s Omaze page for your chance to comment on a real, not-made-up episode and donate some money to Planned Parenthood’s “United We Plan” campaign in the process.
