Following up on an impressive debut, 2009’s Gorilla Manor, Local Natives will release Hummingbird on January 29 via Frenchkiss Records. For “Breakers,” the first single off the forthcoming album, the California-based quartet co-directed a strange but stunning video alongside Jaffe Zinn. The video features odd masks, a man in a space suit, and multiple slow-motion clips in reverse. If this new track is any indication, Hummingbird will be full of powerful vocal harmonies, chiming guitars, and anthemic choruses.
