In addition to all the other famous people set to make appearances, this season of Portlandia has already had a big-name musical guest in Jack White, but now the show will make its visiting musicians compete. In this clip, Dirty Projectors’ Dave Longstreth, Amber Coffman, and Haley Dekle and Dinosaur Jr.’s J. Mascis join Fred Armisen in a Battle Of The Gentle Bands, only to be defeated by the exceedingly gentle, timid Franny Wisp.
