Watch Migos transform “Bad And Boujee” into a llama-themed bedtime story

It’s got to be both good and bad to have your song turned into a meme. On the good side, the song explodes in popularity; Migos’ “Bad And Boujee” music video is up to 140 million views on YouTube and currently sits at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart since it was memified on Twitter (and shouted-out by Donald Glover). On the bad side, it turns the song into a bit of a novelty, which means people will continually ask you to do stupid stuff with it. At first that seems to be what’s happening when Migos stop by The Cruz Show on the L.A. hip-hop radio station Power 106 FM. The hosts ask the Atlanta trio to rap the words from a children’s book over the beat from “Bad And Boujee,” and Quavo, Takeoff, and Offset all seem slightly skeptical about the whole thing. Quickly, however, they discover that Llama Llama Red Pajama is actually a perfect match for their catchy track. (Fast forward to around 13:45.)

The trio gets more and more into their performance as it goes along. Though they don’t fully stay on script of Anna Dewdney’s simple storybook (which you can hear her read right here), they deliver an equally whimsical llama-themed nursery rhyme. And they prove “Bad And Boujee” is an infectious song no matter what the subject matter.

This actually isn’t the first time The Cruz Show has pulled this Llama Llama Red Pajama trick. The show previously had D.R.A.M. perform his own version of the storybook over the track for his song “Broccoli.” He turned in a performance that’s equally delightful, if not quite as catchy as the Migos version:
