Dave Matthews is gearing up to spread music, understanding, and also probably some other things to the people living in conflict-rife regions of the world. Rolling Stone reports that Matthews is launching a new travel-themed TV show, in which he makes his way to places like Tehran’s illegal, underground music scene, or the hip-hop communities of Senegal, to explore music in locations outside the American point of view.
Matthews was apparently inspired by a recent visit to Cuba, which was recently opened back up to the West. “When we look at history through the lens of the arts we get a more human perspective,” Matthews said about the upcoming show, which is yet to settle on a title or find a network.
