You don’t have to give Rob Thomas credit for much, but at least the Matchbox 20 frontman seems to have a sense of humor about himself. A few years back he had an awesome, self-deprecating cameo in It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia and now he’s teamed up with Funny Or Die to create the trailer for Smooth, a faux cop-show vehicle for Thomas and the rest of Matchbox 20 (though the bassist is somehow stuck writing all the teleplays) The video answers the question, “How much humor is there to be gleaned from the lyrics to ‘Smooth?’” with a resounding “A surprising amount!”
