Watch The Rock analyze his own subpar acting debut in The Scorpion King
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is the world’s highest-paid actor, the sexiest man alive, and best friends with Lin-Manuel Miranda, so some might say he’s been promoted from “most electrifying man in sports entertainment” to, simply, “most electrifying man.” Of course, not everything The Rock has done has enraptured his millions of fans. Back in October, Johnson critiqued his not-so-hot debut in the WWE in a segment on his YouTube channel called “Rock Reacts.” Now, he’s back for some more self-eviscerating, this time about his performance in the 2002 dud The Scorpion King.
As good-natured as always, Johnson here takes shots at the shoddy digital effects and his own self-serious facial reactions while also praising his fellow performers, most notably the many beautiful women with whom he shared the limelight. He also tells a story about the film’s origins, which, fair warning, pretty much centers around The Rock having horrible diarrhea.
What will The Rock react to next? Here’s an idea.
