As far as we can tell, the best thing about having kids in 2016 is that it nets you a steady supply of guaranteed adorable actors for whatever internet video project leaps suddenly into your mind. (Also family and love and stuff, we guess.) The Daily Dot’s Matt Silverman has been posting his “Free Dad Videos” on YouTube for a while now, featuring his three-year-old daughter Amelia doing stuff like getting legal advice or jamming out to A-Ha. This week, Silverman has posted what might be his (and Amelia’s) magnum opus: A Halloween video that sees his daughter suit up for an adventure in The Legend Of Zelda’s magical land of Hyrule (a.k.a. their local park).
The whole thing is almost dangerously cute, with Amelia’s Link plundering treasure chests, fending off monsters, and even smashing pots in a classic case of Zelda’s blatant disregard for vandalism. Fans of the franchise even get some top-notch dad jokes, with Silverman dropping an “It’s dangerous to go alone” into the mix. And if your cuteness threshold hasn’t already been maxed out, there’s also a behind-the-scenes video to show all the goofing around happening while the quest was underway.
