Watch Yuck cover New Order's "Age Of Consent" in a black and white video filmed in one take
London indie rockers Yuck toured relentlessly behind their 2011 self-titled debut album, hitting all the major festivals. But this past spring frontman Daniel Blumberg left the group to pursue his own projects, an amicable split that nonetheless dripped with sadness from all involved. Blumberg released his new solo album as Hebronix in July, and now Yuck soldiers on with Max Bloom stepping in to take on lead vocals as the band prepares to release their sophomore album, Glow & Behold, September 30. In anticipation of the new record, Yuck recorded a studio session cover of New Order’s classic “Age Of Consent” with director/photographer Michael Lawrence in London. The black and white video was filmed in a single take, swirling around the band as they perform a more than adequate cover that shows where Yuck turned to for inspiration on new single “Middle Sea.”
