The cast of NBC’s new comedy, Perfect Harmony, will be the first to tell you their show’s not a musical, per se, but given its logline—“An Ivy League professor becomes the director of a rural church choir”—you’d be safe in assuming that there will be plenty of singing. As said Ivy League professor, Bradley Whitford leads an eclectic ensemble of comedic and vocal talents, including Pitch Perfect’s Anna Camp, Search Party’s Tymberlee Hill, and Banshee’s Geno Segers. During the Paley Center For Media’s annual Fall TV Preview festival, we had the opportunity to speak with the cast about their new show and their own personal journeys of falling in love with music. And, in the spirit of musicality, we tasked each cast member to describe their characters with a song.
