Big Little Lies (HBO, 9 p.m.): Yeah yeah yeah, we just top-picked this a few weeks ago—but tonight is the amazing Big Little Lies finale! When we finally find out who was murdered, who did the deed, and what the final fate will be for our beloved Madeline, Celeste, Jane, and Renata. This series quickly transcended whatever “trashy” status it was erroneously tagged with to become a sublime, intimate look at the lives of its many female characters—wives and mothers who are eminently relatable even as they live in glass palaces on the beach. And the comment section for the reviews has been supportive, insightful, and really one of the greatest AVC communities this WOT-er has ever seen—and we’ve seen a lot of them. Missing you guys already, but looking forward to hanging out one last time for this finale tonight. (And really, if you haven’t seen BLL, make a point to get caught up over the summer. It’s just that good.)

Sunday Night Baseball: The Chicago Cubs At The St. Louis Cardinals (ESPN, 8:30 p.m.): Sports fans, enjoy this, as it will likely be the only time we will ever post about sports in here. But we had to acknowledge the return of Major League Baseball with the rivalry that’s so near and dear to our hearts as a Windy City native: Cubs vs. Cards! We remember being happy for about five minutes last fall when the Cubs won the pennant, before the election happened and everything went to absolute Hades. We hope that the new baseball season will help remind us of this feeling, even as it probably kicks off the end of the Cubs’ one-year reign. Plus, even though he’s now retired from the team, we can’t get enough of veteran Cub catcher David Ross’ performances on Dancing With The Stars this season. We see another championship in his future, baby! And we may or may not have watched this a few dozen times already:
