We can all learn something from the story of Soulja Boy selling dragon dildos on Twitter

Back in 2007, a young man by the name of Soulja Boy Tell ‘Em broke onto the music scene with his hit single “Crank That (Soulja Boy).” It was a massive hit. With his viral-video-inspiring dance routines and lesser-known songs about Dragon Ball Z, Soulja Boy seemed destined for a lifetime of success. But here we are, a little over a decade later, and the man seems to have resorted to peddling fantasy reptile dildos on social media. How did we as a nation let this happen? Well, according to a report from New York Magazine, things aren’t quite what they seem.

Please be forewarned that the rest of this story contains images of dragon dildos.

The above tweets—which seem to show Soulja Boy linking his fans to bad-dragon.com, a website specializing in fantasy creature sex toys—are actually a prime example of the dangers of letting your website domain expire. Apparently, a few years ago, Soulja Boy forgot to renew his record label’s domain, sodmgco.com, allowing somebody else to commandeer the URL and link it to wherever they damn well please. That somebody decided that—as a hilarious goof!—they would redirect all the rapper’s fans to an online store where they can buy Demogorgan ding dongs and hellhound fleshlights. For those interested, Bad Dragon’s catalog seems to be pretty extensive. It’s a veritable Fantastic Beasts And How To Fuck Them, and Soulja Boy looks pretty eager to tell people about it.

“I didn’t do it for personal attention, just for laughs,” the unnamed prankster tells New York. “I thought it [would be] funny to make it look like Soulja Boy tweeted about furry sex toys a bunch back in 2013.” Turns out they were right. It is pretty funny. But nothing good lasts forever, and it’s only a matter of time before Soulja Boy deletes all these fantasy-dildo-promoting tweets. So, check them out while you can.
