Steven Universe (Cartoon Network, 7:30 p.m.): It’s not quite a StevenBomb, but Cartoon Network is airing two new episodes of Steven Universe tonight. The first, “Can’t Go Back,” sees Ronaldo making a real discovery for a change, albeit one that Steven has to investigate himself—on the moon, no less. Then, in “A Single Pale Rose,” Steven’s mission is to help Pearl find her cellphone, but it turns into another journey of self-discovery for the most uptight of the Crystal Gems. As usual, Eric Thurm will guide you through both adventures.

A Dangerous Son (HBO, 8 p.m.): The latest in HBO’s documentary series, from Liz Garbus, the documentary maker behind Love, Marilyn and What Happened, Miss Simone?, explores mental illness in children, as well as the lack of resources for them and their families. Garbus follows three families, each struggling to find treatment for their emotionally disturbed children, in this sobering and alarming new film.
