We regret to inform you that Kellyanne Conway is back on her bullshit

Over the weekend, a series of reports detailed a meeting last year between Donald Trump Jr. and a Russian lawyer who claimed to have damaging information about then-candidate Hillary Clinton. The meeting was also attended by Paul Manafort and Jared Kushner. As a result of the gradual revelation of the meeting’s details, the Trump team’s story has slightly shifted multiple times, from an initial denial to an admission that an innocuous meeting did occur, to, now, a pretty-much full admission. That is, in and of itself, still damning—the president’s son is admitting to meeting with a Kremlin-connected lawyer to receive dirt about a political opponent!—and so the Trump administration is fighting back by bringing out the big guns. Folks, Kellyanne Conway has hit the talk show circuit.

It’s worth noting that any time you have Conway on your program you are essentially inviting an amnesia-inducing fog into the brains of your viewers, a thick, noxious, sugary miasma of alternative facts and glittering reversals. That being said, the clip that is making the rounds today most aggressively is this one, in which Good Morning America’s George Stephanopoulos confronts her with video footage that holds her shifting party line on the issue against her. The way she wriggles out of it is astonishing.

Please remember the phrase “As I understand it, George, some of the disclosure forms have been amended since that time,” because it is apparently how you get out of a lie in 2017.

Elsewhere, Conway went toe to toe with CNN’s Chris Cuomo about the nature of reality:

And, finally, to spew a bunch of shit about Ivanka Trump to a patient, receptive panel of Fox And Friends hosts, which we are posting out of, um, fairness?:

Please plunge your head in an ice bath to rinse the Conway out and embrace anew the notion of an objective reality.
