We were unprepared for the raw sensuality of this Martha Stewart/Snoop Dogg parody of Titanic

The cultural cross-pollination between apparent actual friends Martha Stewart and Snoop Dogg has produced many emotions from us over the years—incredulity, amusement, even the occasional bursts of honest affection. “Sensual excitement” has never been one of them: Until now!

As previously covered by our friends over at The Takeout, the above is a trailer for VH1's upcoming cooking competition Martha & Snoop’s Potluck Party Challenge, a spin-off of the already extant Martha & Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party. (And yes, they already did the “put the pot in potluck” joke, way back in the very first episode.) And while there’s nothing especially fresh about a Titanic parody in 2019, we were legitimately caught off guard by the sheer erotic energy of the clip—specifically the bit at about 24 seconds in, when Martha teasingly runs her fingers down Snoop’s supple wrists, and whoops, now we’re just writing fan fiction, folks.

Of course, that shot is a direct reference to James Cameron’s original blockbuster, but, you know, you could justify a lot of stuff with that argument. What’s next? Will Martha draw Snoop like one of her French girls as he serves up fillets? Will they steam up the windows in a vintage Coupe de Ville by steaming cabbage together? How horny are you willing to get, VH1 and/or two famous people who are incongruously friends? The people need to know!
