Weekend Box Office: Indy! Indy! Indy!

Hey, it's Memorial Day! Shouldn't you be at a barbecue or something? In the interest of getting our vacation on ASAP, here's your super-short, super-obvious weekend box-office roundup:

Indiana Jones. Obviously.

Given the built-in anticipation factor, and the fact that no other wide-release new movies even bothered showing up at the theaters this weekend, Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull's No. 1 showing is a no-brainer. The long-awaited sequel is officially the biggest opening weekend of 2008, beating Iron Man's $98.6 million take with an estimated $101 million in box-office receipts. Iron Man, meanwhile, dropped to the No. 3 spot with 20.1 million this weekend, behind last weekend's No. 1, The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian ($23 million).
