Weekend Box Office: Who's Your Daddy

Harnessing the awesome power of the exclamation mark (along with a massive advertising campaign and a few metric tons of star power), the animated Dr. Seuss adaptation Horton Hears A Who! slid easily into the top spot this weekend, pulling the largest opening weekend of the year so far with a $45.1 million take. Last week's top earner, 10,000 B.C., faced a sharp decline with about $16.5 million in sales, less than half of last weekend's No. 1 numbers. Still, the film hung on to the No. 2 spot, beating out new releases Never Back Down at No. 3 ($8.6 million) and Doomsday at No. 7 ($4.7 million).
