Weezer signs with Epitaph, will release eighth album in September
After finishing up their contract with Geffen last December, power-pop mainstays Weezer have remained mum on how they were going to go about distributing their next middling post-Pinkerton record, with Rivers Cuomo only stating that, “There's definitely going to be more raw rock energy on this one.” Like Pinkerton? We liked Pinkerton, just make another one like that. As of today, 2010’s greatest summer free agency question is finally answered. Weezer announced via the band’s Twitter feed that they will be taking their talents to Epitaph Records and plan to release their newest album, Hurley, on Sept. 14. May we suggest some cover art?
