Thanks to a recent deal, the geriatric pot comedy of long-estranged, recently reconciled duo Cheech and Chong will be hitting the small screen in a documentary/performance film chronicling the legendary partners' recent "Cheech and Chong Light Up America" reunion tour. "The Cheech and Chong Concert Movie" will bypass theaters en route to what a press release calls "a major TV premiere" before hitting DVD.
Barry Gordon, the Executive Vice President of Home Entertainment at TWC hyperbolically calls the reunion tour and performance film "The comedy event of the decade". Criminy, it hasn't been that slow of a decade. In unrelated news, look for a Richard "Cheech" Marin Random Roles in the near future. Let the pot jokes and "Dave's Not Here" referencing begin.
