As previously reported, Van Halen will reunite for a tour this fall, with David Lee Roth singing lead. Covering the band's press conference, Variety reports that the new VH ostensibly plans to stick around for a while: "It's not like the Police–we're not going to do one tour," Roth is quoted as saying. More importantly, Roth really knows how to flatter his band's music: "It's all the songs you have been hearing blasting out of the backs of pickup trucks at Burger King over the last 20 summers. This is a revision [of Van Halen] with hits as familiar as the roof of your mouth." Eloquent as always, sir. Meantime, Hollywood Reporter catches some more odd quotes and awkward hug-and-kiss action.
