Good news for fans of Phantom Planet, eyebrows, and Marissa Cooper’s melodramatic death scene: A musical version of The O.C. is coming. The one-night-only theatrical production is being held August 30 in Los Angeles (of course), and is being thrown together by the same people that organized Cruel Intentions: The Musical. So far, the roles of Luke “Welcome to The O.C., bitch” Ward, Kirsten and Sandy Cohen, and showrunner Josh Schwartz have been filled, but judging by the show’s Twitter, the creators hope to drag some original cast members into the fray.
