Werner Herzog and Errol Morris took a lovely photo while hugging beneath a rainbow

Documentary directors Werner Herzog and Errol Morris went to the Telluride Film Festival together last year as executive producers of The Act Of Killing. This year they premiered separate films in Colorado: Morris’ Donald Rumsfeld documentary The Unknown Known and Herzog’s Death Row. But the two remain delightfully friendly, and there’s no better evidence than a picture posted to Instagram of the two legendary filmmakers smiling and hugging underneath a rainbow. Soak it in, because the only way this shot could possibly get better is if it was animated, with voiceover narration from Herzog about the looming clouds and his light tufts of windswept hair.
