We've got an exclusive clip of Gilbert Gottfried talking through his problems with Dr. Katz: The Audiobook

Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist always worked best in the realm of audio—and not just because Squigglevision could be so wiggling-ly unpleasant on the eyes. The long-running, mostly improvised Comedy Central series was a periodic love letter to the silliness of the English language, whether it was star Jonathan Katz riffing on nonsense with H.Jon Benjamin, or “Hmm”-ing along to his famous clients’ stand-up sets, disguised as therapy sessions. That auditory focus has served Katz well over the years, allowing Audible to easily revive the series last year for a handful of audio-only episodes.

Now, the audiobook provider has gotten a little more ambitious with its Katz-related plans; just last week, it released a 6.5-hour audiobook version of the series, featuring the return of stars Katz, Benjamin, and Laura Silverman, plus a whole new host of neurotic famous people for the good doctor to question. Guests on the book include Jon Hamm, Kristen Schaal, David Cross, Demetri Martin, Wanda Sykes, and a whole bunch more—you can see the full list here—including veteran comic/parrot voicer Gilbert Gottfried. To commemorate the occasion, we’ve got an exclusive clip, courtesy of Audible, of Katz and Gottfried talking about their lives, and the various bullshit phrases we inevitably end up slipping into them in the process:
