What better way to celebrate the 4th than bingeing The Twilight Zone?

Here’s what’s happening in the world of television for Wednesday, July 4. All times are Eastern.

Top pick

Rod, White & Blue: A Twilight Zone Celebration (Decades TV, starting at 7 a.m.): If you had told most of us back when we were kids that we’d have to face actual Nazis wielding political power in America in the year 2018—and not only that, but they had managed to get their preferred guy elected president, a former reality-TV host and media huckster who spends his days in office watching TV and raging against talk-show hosts—we probably would’ve said, “That sounds like a particularly dark episode of The Twilight Zone.” But here we are, so may as well spend our country’s holiday by binge-watching The Twilight Zone. Starting at 7 a.m. and running until 6:30 the next morning, the Decades TV network is airing a marathon of 46 of the most noteworthy episodes of the series. Allow the iconic and famously twisty show to suck you in, and soon you won’t even notice how flagrantly Decades TV is ignoring the need for an Oxford comma in the title of this marathon.

Regular coverage

The Handmaid’s Tale (Hulu)
Steven Universe (Cartoon Network, 7:30 p.m.)

Wild card

Shockwave: Countdown To Disaster (UPtv, 7:00 p.m.): We’re not sure who decided on this particular ridiculous film for the obscure cable channel’s counter-programming for the holiday, but we are on board for it.
