We Were Liars (Prime Video, Wednesday, 3:01 a.m.)

While vacationing on her wealthy family’s private island one summer, teen Cadence Sinclair (Emily Alyn Lind) suffers a traumatic head injury. She returns next year to try and remember what happened and why her loved ones are acting differently around her. The A.V. Club‘s review of We Were Liars publishes Monday.


Outrageous (Britbox, Wednesday, 8:01 p.m.)

Period drama Outrageous tackles the true story of Britain’s scandalous Mitford sisters, whose political leanings in the 1930s ranged from supporting Hitler to communism. Look for The A.V. Club‘s review of the six-part series on Monday.


The Waterfront (Netflix, Thursday, 3:01 a.m.)

This Yellowstone-meets-Ozark saga centers on the Buckleys, who run a fishing business that doubles as a drug-smuggling operation in North Carolina. The ensemble features Holt McCallany as the fam’s patriarch, as well as Melissa Benoist, Mario Bello, Jake Weary, and Topher Grace. Check out The A.V. Club‘s review of the show on Thursday.

Hell Motel (AMC+, Tuesday, 3:01 a.m.)

Eric McCormack leads this horror-anthology series, in which 10 true-crime obsessives stay at the site of a 30-year-old, unsolved mass murder. When they start getting gruesomely killed one by one, the remaining survivors band together to find the culprit.


Ash (Shudder, Friday, 3:01 a.m.)

This trippy sci-fi film follows an astronaut (played by Eiza González) who wakes up on a strange planet to find her crew dead. As her paranoia and fear increase, she meets a man seemingly sent to rescue her. Read The A.V. Club‘s review.
