Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, California is one of the most famous cemeteries in the United States, probably best known for being the resting place of celebrities like Walt Disney, Michael Jackson, and Elizabeth Taylor. But it’s much more than a “cemetery for famous people.” Forest Lawn founder Hubert Eaton had the idea that a cemetery can also be a place for the living; a place that could inspire and uplift the community with sweeping vistas. Recently, chairman of the board at Forest Lawn, John F. Llewellyn, took us on a tour of the park, and talked us through its rich history.
