Welcome to What’s On, our weekly picks of must-watch shows. Here’s what you need to watch from Sunday, December 24 to Thursday, December 28. All times are Eastern. [Note: The weekend edition of What’s On drops on Fridays.]

The biggies

Doctor Who: The Church On Ruby Road (Disney+, Monday, 1:30 p.m.)

CHRISTMAS TRAILER | The Church on Ruby Road | Doctor Who

After airing three episodes featuring David Tennant’s return to Doctor Who, the show launches a Christmas special to properly introduce Ncuti Gatwa as the franchise’s 15th Doctor. The Sex Education and Barbie actor made his debut earlier this year, but he’ll properly lead his episode with The Church Of Ruby Road alongside co-stars Millie Gibson, Anita Dobson, Michelle Greenidge, and Davina McCall.

Letterkenny (Hulu, Tuesday, 12:01 a.m.)

Letterkenny S12 | Official Trailer | Hulu

So long, Letterkenny! Canada’s scathing slice-of-life sitcom comes to an end with season 12. Created by and starring Jared Keeso, the show is set in a rural town where residents often clash for the silliest reasons—but they’ve always got the sophisticated puns to prove their point. But hey, at least we still have the show’s fun spinoff, Shoresy.

Hidden gems

Call The Midwife: Holiday Special (PBS, Monday, 8 p.m.)

Preview: Call the Midwife Holiday Special 2023

Call The Midwife continues its annual holiday tradition with a bonus Christmas installment. In December, a treacherous round of heavy snowfall threatens to complicate the work the midwives have coming up. Plus, Sister Monica Joan (Judy Parfitt) worries this is the last Christmas she’ll get to spend with her loved ones (and she’s afraid of missing the Apollo 8 launch).

The Curious Case Of Natalia Grace: Natalia Speaks (ID, Tuesday, 9 p.m.)

The Curious Case Of Natalia Grace: Natalia Speaks | Official Trailer

Investigation Discovery follows up on this year’s popular true-crime docuseries, The Curious Case Of Natalia Grace, with this installment featuring Grace herself, who discusses being adopted by the Barnett family. They allege she was an adult masquerading as a child, whereas there are allegations the parents mistreated her. (If you haven’t kept up with this case, it’s a tragic and extremely bonkers story.)
