What's the best way to watch the Star Wars movies?
Star Wars: The Last Jedi premieres tonight, and if you’re like us, you’ve been diligently rewatching the entire Skywalker saga in preparation for the eighth installment. But what is the best way to do so? There are three main schools of thought:
Production order: Episodes IV, V, VI, I, II, III, VII, followed by Rogue One
Canonical order: Episodes I, II, III, Rogue One, IV, V, VI, VII
Machete Order: Episodes IV, V, II, III, VI, everything else
There are offshoots, including orders that take into account the TV shows, spin-offs, and the numerous fan edits. In the video above, we asked the biggest Star Wars fan at Onion Inc. (which is saying something) Jimmy Hasse for his personal opinion, and he thinks you should just ignore the first two episodes entirely.
